Tickle Guys

Coral and I play this game that she calls Tickle Guys. Basically, I just tickle her and she calls my fingers the tickle guys.

Tonight I was tickling her and she fell down. She didn’t seem to mind too much but she got up and said, “Tickle Guys! You have to be careful. Everyone once in a while you make me fall down!”

More tickling ensued and after a bit later she chimed in with, “Every once in a while when you tickle me I feel like I’m going to throw up!”

Sounds like a fun game.

Typical question from a 3 year old?

Today Coral asked B the following question, “Mom, is left and right the same as north and south?”

Little Fish

Coral has been stepping up her swimming skills lately. She’s wearing a swim vest that barely keeps her afloat but you can see that she gets the idea of swimming.

Here are a couple of videos from this afternoon.

Bread Man

At dinner tonight Coral picked up a piece of bread and started pretending that it was talking to us.

Bread: “What are we having for dinner?”

Me: “Lasagna.”

Bread: “What else?”

Me: “Bread too.”

Bread: “Meeeeeee?”

Me: “Yes.”

Bread: “Don’t eat meeeee!”

At which point she accidentally dropped the piece of bread on the floor. Scout ate it almost instantly. Coral burst out in tears.

Double

Yesterday I asked Coral if I could get a kiss and she said, “okay, a double!” When I gave her a somewhat confused look she quickly responded, “double - that means two.” Ah - right.

In related news, according to this article, which quotes some study, if we hadn’t allowed Coral to watch any Baby Einstein videos her vocabulary would be better. Dang, we blew it.
