The Rankin Zoo 

B and Coral went to visit her dad in Ohio a couple of weekends ago. Clearly the highlight for Coral was playing with the new kitten. Apparently the kitten was willing to put up with Coral’s hugs and kisses.

Around the house Coral spends a lot of time with her four cats and two dogs. Buttercup is a regular companion and Scout is a little more interested in Coral now that she seems more like a little person.

The cats have learned to hightail it out of there when Coral gets too excited. And Coral has learned (more or less) to be gentle with the cats if she wants them to stick around. However, usually she eventually gets excited enough to let out a squeel and off the cats go. 

After several days of downtime, the RankinZoo is back online. The RankinZoo actually lives on a server that lives under my desk at work. Last weekend we swapped out a bunch of furniture in the office and as a result RankinZoo was unplugged and stuffed in the corner. I finally dug it out today and plugged it in and after a few tries the server seems to have come up clean.

So, what did everyone miss? Well, Coral was sick on Wednesday night, barfing up her dinner and more. We were worried but she was a trooper and by Thursday morning she was mad at us for not giving her any real food. We slowly added things back to her diet and she seems to be back to full speed today, which is good.
