CW

Coral (also known as “CW” or “C-Dub” or many other things) is seen here heading off to “school” or “daycare” or whatever you want to call it. She goes twice a week for a full day each time and she really seems to enjoy it. We share a nanny with another family, who has the nanny full-time at their house. Coral likes the nanny, likes playing with the other kid (Champe, who is just about Coral’s age), and she really likes having another house full of toys to play with when she gets bored with hers.

Coral has taken to pointing at everything and announcing “guck” - we’re not sure what that means. She can give an emphatic “uh-oh” when needed. She’s still good at “dog” and is getting better at “cat”. She has learned, from her cousin Eva we think, how to scrunch her nose and snort - lovely.

Coral continues to be a star at swimming lessons. She goes to the pool almost every day and thoroughly enjoys it. She knows that “1-2-3″ means close your eyes, you’re going under water - and she enjoys that too. She kicks and paddles but we’re still working on how to float - so for now she can’t really swim. In the wading pool she can walk around with the assistance of a kickboard. She puts her hands on it and motors around the entire pool - very cool.

I’ll try to get some more Coral pictures posted soon.

4th of July

Coral was decked out her finest 4th of July dress. We’re trying to teach her how to say “U - S - A” but so far she only knows: dog, cat, uh-oh, and book (her pronounciation of book isn’t great).

There is a new batch of pictures up in the gallery. A lot of pictures of Coral, of course, but also a few of her cousins. I hope you enjoy.

To follow-up on Coral’s health - it looks like she had some kind of mystery virus. Her fever went away and she’s been feeling fine. A few days ago she developed some bug bite-like red dots and then today she sprouted several red splotches. Apparently this is all a result of the virus so we’re not supposed to worry. Coral seems fine so we’ll go with the “don’t worry” advice for now.
